About PayTo Payment Processing
PayTo is a real-time account-to-account payment service launched in 2022 on the New Payments Platform (NPP), operated by Australian Payments Plus (AP+). It lets businesses initiate payments directly from a customer's bank account under a digital agreement the customer authorises in online banking. It supports one-off and recurring payments via PayID or BSB and account number, and consumers can view, pause, or cancel agreements at any time. By early 2026, PayTo was available through more than 50 financial institutions.
