PlayStation Network (PSN) is an online multiplayer gaming and digital media delivery service developed and operated by Sony Interactive Entertainment, launched in November 2006. PSN serves over 118 million monthly active users across PlayStation consoles (PS3, PS4, PS5, PSP, PS Vita), PC, and mobile devices (via PlayStation App and PlayStation Remote Play). The service offers online multiplayer matchmaking, party chat (voice and text), cloud saves, trophies (achievement system with platinum, gold, silver, bronze tiers), digital game purchases (PlayStation Store), subscription services (PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium tiers with over 50 million subscribers), game streaming via PlayStation Plus Premium (PS3, PS2, PS1, PSP games), PlayStation Now (legacy), and cloud gaming. PlayStation Plus Premium includes access to hundreds of games, classic catalogs, game trials, and monthly free games. The service also features PlayStation Stars (loyalty program), PlayStation Studios IP including God of War, Spider-Man, The Last of Us, Gran Turismo, Horizon, Uncharted, and Ghost of Tsushima.
