About Lynx Payment Processing
Lynx is Canada's high-value payment system launched in 2021 by Payments Canada, replacing the Large Value Transfer System (LVTS). Based on real-time gross settlement (RTGS), it enables fast, irrevocable wire payments in Canadian dollars. Lynx settles virtually all interbank Canadian dollar transactions, including large corporate payments and securities settlements. In 2025, it processed over 13.6 million items worth $93.3 trillion.
